Introduction to the Human Body Learning Cards!

Updated: Nov 14, 2024

As an educator, I value learning and educating others. It is never too early to expose your children to new learning experiences. Research tells us that the child’s brain will absorb the most information during the years of birth to early childhood, up until about age 5. This is why it is suggested to read to children as much as possible and provide them with resources that will essentially enhance their cognitive abilities as well as their motor and social skills.

Being a Health Science Educator I’ve come across many students who are interested in becoming a healthcare worker. To achieve this goal, many of them will need to take multiple levels of anatomy and physiology courses on the collegiate level. While some high schools are fortunate enough to offer these courses that pique student’s interest, some are not. Therefore, those who are not prematurely exposed to health and/or human body-related information either during childhood or within a secondary school setting are potentially more at risk of being a little behind the curve once they sit in their first A&P college class, compared to those who are prematurely exposed before their first A&P college course. If you’ve ever taken a college-level Anatomy & Physiology course, you know firsthand how intense and nerve-wracking it can be. The human body is truly amazing and amazingly intricate, which can be a lot for a student with or without prior exposure to this type of content. As an educator, my goal is to expose my students to the necessary information needed to help them be successful once they embark on their journey of becoming a healthcare professional.

With my learning cards, anyone can have access to some of the same information that I provide as a health science teacher. The Introductions to the Human Body Learning Cards introduce various organs within the human body, noting the anatomical positions, and function of each organ. This is essential because whether students are exposed to this information before taking a high school or college anatomy course they will already be knowledgeable of these key factors due to the consistent nature of the human body processes.

Enhance your knowledge or enhance the knowledge of someone close to you by purchasing a set or two of my Introduction to the Human Body Learning Cards! Remember, it’s never too early or too late to learn new information!
