Embrace the journey of becoming the best version of yourself.
Becoming the best version of yourself requires a strong desire to change, the willpower to elevate to a better you, and consistent effort to do so. Contrary to society's belief, growth and change are not linear. The process of becoming better is a journey and a lifelong one. As you grow in wisdom, life experiences, and knowledge, you continuously improve with proper implementation and effort. As you embark on a journey of change remember these things to assist you during this life-changing process.
I. Commit to Becoming Better
Declaring that you are becoming a better version of yourself is a verbal commitment to change, your efforts to live up to your declaration are a part of the journey. Suppose you are truly serious about becoming better. In that case, you must identify the life you aspire to have, identify the habits you must let go and begin to practice the things that will lead to your evolution to become who you want to be. It won’t be easy, but it will always be worth it!
II. Be Accountable
Hold yourself accountable for your shortcomings as you embark on your journey to becoming a greater you. Acknowledge moments when you may have acted out of alignment with who you are becoming and move forward with a mindset focused on how you can react differently if you ever find yourself in a similar situation in the future.

.
Recruiting an accountability partner may be beneficial as this person can be a voice of reason and help support your journey of change. Be sure that this person will not enable the behaviors you wish to grow from and who is stern in their relationship with keeping you on the up and up.
III. Surround Yourself with the Right People:
Surround yourself with people who support your growth and those who genuinely want to see you become your best self. Meet new people and interact with those who share similar goals and personalities with who you aspire to be. It may also be necessary to release friends and acquaintances who do not align with your future self.
IV: Actions are Required:
Actions speak louder than words. Make sure your actions match your commitment to become better and keep track of the goals you’ve accomplished. If you struggle with addiction, make sure you’re engaging in non-additive activities and try to avoid places that will trigger your addiction.
V. Keep Going:
Continue to strive to be better. Change doesn’t happen overnight, we all experience peaks and valleys on our journey to accomplish goals. Relapse happens, but that doesn’t mean you're not getting better, it just means you had a weak moment. Recognize that and decide to stay committed to your goal of becoming better.
Although some changes may seem small, they are still a big milestone. Transforming into a better you will take time and effort. Stand up to the challenge, but be easy on yourself. Nothing great was built in a short period without trial and error. Seek guidance from God as he will keep you on the right track and be a crutch during those difficult times when you think you can no longer move forward. Be tenacious and know that as long as you want better for yourself, better will come.
